Junior AI Data Scientist (Python)

Tax Insight Sp. z o.o. is a company automating tax reporting and accounting processes using AI, operating in the TaxTech space. The role involves working in a tight-knit, fast-moving engineering team in a scaling company, collaborating closely with senior developers and legal experts.

• Solid understanding of Python syntax, data structures (lists, dictionaries), and basic Object-Oriented Programming.
• Ability to independently write scripts for data processing, file handling, or basic scraping.
• Familiarity with Pandas, NumPy, and Regex.
• Understanding of web architecture (HTML tags, CSS selectors, JSON structure) and ability to inspect webpages to identify data patterns for extraction.
• Strong grasp of fundamental math and statistics concepts including Probability, Descriptive Statistics, and basic Linear Algebra.
• Knowledge of evaluation techniques including Precision, Recall, F1-Score, Accuracy, and Character Error Rate, especially for unbalanced datasets.
• Hands-on experimentation with LLM APIs (e.g., Gemini, ChatGPT) or local models, focusing on building functional systems.
• Analytical problem-solving skills for parsing messy data and implementing clean logic for data recovery.
• English proficiency at B2+ level for analyzing international financial documents and technical documentation.

• Build pipelines to scrape data from complex external sources and extract structured data from financial documents (PDFs, invoices, tax forms) using Python and LLMs.
• Develop models using LLMs, classic ML techniques, OCR solutions, or AI neural networks to classify financial documents and extract key entities with high precision.
• Validate data against complex accounting rules to transform unstructured files into audit-ready assets.
• Collaborate closely with senior developers and legal experts to translate complex tax regulations into compliant algorithmic logic.
