Specialist Quantitative Developer (Python, Pandas, SQL)

The position is for a client in the financial sector, located in Kraków, Poland, offering a hybrid work model with 2 days in the office and 3 days remote. The role involves working with a collaborative team and a modern tech stack.

• 3+ years of commercial experience in a similar position
• Strong knowledge and practical experience with Python and SQL Server
• Experience with data processing in Python (Pandas) and understanding of web APIs (FastAPI)
• Experience with developing quantitative models in Python
• Fluency in English (both spoken and written)
• Good communication skills, willingness to learn, attention to details, and consideration of timelines

Nice to have:

• Experience in C++ (some core components of infrastructure are written in that language)
• Knowledge of Asset Backed Securities and the relevant IFRS9 regulations

• Extension of existing Python model
• Engagement with Front Office and Product Control on development requirements
• Ensuring automated tests coverage (unit, integration, and regression tests)
• Engagement with stakeholders for expectation setting and delivery of the changes
