Fullstack Engineer

Vatix is a fast-growing SaaS company founded in London and Kraków in 2019. The company focuses on Governance, Risk, and Compliance software, particularly in Health & Safety and Operational Excellence. Their platform is trusted by over 800 businesses and government organisations worldwide, including Cambridge University, Siemens, and Intel. Vatix offers a diverse product suite spanning web applications, mobile apps, IoT-enabled safety devices, and data platforms.

• 5+ years building and shipping production software as a full-stack engineer.
• Strong Python experience (Django or similar mature Python web frameworks).
• Strong React and TypeScript skills.
• Ability to spot broken logic, N+1 queries, missing edge cases, and scalability issues.
• Comfort with relational data modelling, designing clean REST APIs, and reasoning about performance and scale.
• Genuine ownership instinct to stand behind shipped code and fix issues.
• Sound judgement about trade-offs between shipping and correctness.
• Openness to an AI-enabled SDLC, treating AI as a tool to direct and verify.
• Clear communication skills in English.

Nice to have:

• Experience in B2B/enterprise SaaS, especially with security, compliance, or data-heavy products.
• Experience with embedded analytics, data warehousing, or BI tooling.
• Experience with AI initiatives that improved team velocity.

• Take AI-generated prototypes from "it works on the happy path" to production-ready by interrogating logic, finding edge cases, validating performance, and hardening weak points.
• Own features in production: ship, own bugs, and fix them.
• Act as the guardrail on AI-generated output by reviewing it to real engineering standards.
• Work across the stack using Python on the backend (REST APIs, data modelling, integrations) and React + TypeScript on the frontend.
• Focus on security, data integrity, performance, and user experience for enterprise customers.
• Raise the engineering bar by reviewing thoughtfully, mentoring, and improving team practices with AI in the loop.
