Senior Full Stack Engineer (Dataform OSS)

VIRTUSA is hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to work on the Dataform service, focusing on improving features, performance, and supportability within both internal repositories and the open-source Dataform ecosystem. The role involves collaboration with the Google Dataform team and managing contributions to internal and external repositories.

• 4 to 8 years of professional software development experience (Tier II level).
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, and Python.
• Broad knowledge of Java / J2EE full-stack engineering.
• Ability and willingness to work across diverse technologies, including Rust and Kotlin.
• Strong familiarity with Bash scripting.
• Experience managing source code using Git repositories and advanced Git operations.
• Flexible mindset with a proven ability to learn new languages, frameworks, and workflows quickly.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with the Google Dataform team.
• Self-motivated and capable of maintaining a strict Service Level Objective (SLO).

• Implement features, resolve bugs, and write robust tests for the Dataform service.
• Collaborate with engineers to triage issues and manage pull requests.
• Participate in regular sync meetings with the Google Dataform team to align on scope, implementation strategies, and feature designs.
• Work effectively within hybrid workflows, contributing to internal repositories and managing external releases to GitHub.
• Maintain a strict Service Level Objective (SLO), targeting a 90% bug triage resolution rate.
