Lead Product Manager - AI & Automation, Finance

Bayer is hiring a Lead Product Manager to manage a portfolio of AI- and automation-enabled digital products within the Finance functional area. The role involves collaboration with product development, data, AI, Finance, risk, legal, and operations teams in a large, global, and highly regulated environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Informatics, or comparable experience.
• 8+ years of experience in Product Management in complex digital environments.
• 4+ years experience working in Agile / DevOps setups.
• 3+ years of experience with AI/ML, intelligent automation (RPA, IDP, workflow automation), advanced analytics, or data-driven products.
• Proven experience managing complex product ecosystems.
• Strong understanding of Finance processes (Accounting, Reporting, Planning, Compliance) or equivalent experience.

• Proven ability to lead through influence across organizational boundaries.
• Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills in ambiguous environments.
• Ability to quantify and communicate business value, including risk reduction and efficiency gains.
• Experience working in large, global, highly regulated environments.
• Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with Design Thinking, user-centered design, and user analysis.
• Experience in building product vision, roadmap, strategy, and competitive analysis.

Product Management:

• Accountable for the success of a portfolio of AI- and automation-enabled digital products throughout their lifecycle.
• Own multiple and/or complex digital products for a defined Finance functional area.
• Collaborate closely with product development, data, AI, Finance, risk, legal, and operations teams.
• Drive agile best practices across squads including planning, backlog prioritization, and user story co-creation.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Bridge business, technology, data, and AI worlds to support Finance strategy and enterprise objectives.
• Identify and manage diverse stakeholders including senior Finance leadership, process owners, data and AI teams, architecture, and risk functions.

Product Strategy:

• Define and drive product vision, strategy, and roadmap for a complex ecosystem of AI- and automation-enabled products.
• Ensure alignment between business priorities, data readiness, technology platforms, and governance requirements.
• Provide strategic leadership to balance user needs, operational stability, and platform sustainability.

Product Discovery & Delivery:

• Responsible for structured discovery and delivery of digital products.
• Translate user needs and non-functional requirements into roadmaps and prioritized backlogs.
• Oversee progress against defined outcomes and manage product health and budget.

People & Collaboration:

• Communicate and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• Foster strong working relationships with peers in product management, engineering, data, and technical organizations.

The minimum monthly gross compensation is 25,760 PLN gross, with final pay determined based on experience, qualifications, scope of responsibility, and internal alignment.
