Junior / MID AWS Cloud Engineer

On behalf of our client, a leading international company, we are looking for a motivated and talented Junior / Mid AWS Cloud Engineer to join the local team in Portugal.

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 0–3 years of general experience in the IT sector.
• 0–2 years of hands-on experience working directly with AWS environments.
• Solid, fundamental understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Strong programming, scripting, and automation skills utilizing Python, Bash, etc.
• Practical experience working with modern CI/CD tools (specifically GitHub Actions).
• Basic experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools (specifically Terraform).
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities alongside strong communication skills.

Nice to have:

• AWS Certifications (Associate or Professional level).
• Additional AWS Specialty certifications (AWS Certified Security or AWS Certified Advanced Networking preferred).

• Implement, automate, and manage secure AWS cloud environments.
• Configure AWS resources, including EC2 instances, S3 storage, RDS databases, and core networking components (VPCs, Subnets, Security Groups).
• Develop clean, reusable Infrastructure as Code scripts using Terraform for automated infrastructure provisioning.
• Build and configure robust Landing Zones in strict accordance with the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
• Implement comprehensive security measures, including IAM roles, strict policies, and encryption mechanisms.
• Support the organization’s cost-efficiency targets (FinOps) and drive operational excellence.
• Actively participate in architecture discussions and drive cross-team knowledge sharing.
