Junior Software Engineer - Java

• University degree or 3 years of relevant experience.
• Approximately 2-4 years of experience in a similar position.
• Knowledge of web browser optimization to improve functional effectiveness.
• Understanding of user interface design and providing optimal UI experiences.
• Proficiency in back-end programming languages, specifically Java.
• Ability to develop and utilize APIs for software component interaction.
• Experience building and deploying modern services and web applications with quality and scalability.
• Willingness to learn new technologies such as Angular, React, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Experience collaborating with Product, Test, DevOps, and Agile/Scrum teams.
• Growth mindset with curiosity and passion for technology and challenging projects.

• Design code and systems impacting 40% of the world population while influencing Visa's internal standards for scalability, security, and reusability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to create design artifacts and develop best-in-class software solutions for multiple Visa technical offerings.
• Actively contribute to product quality improvements, value-added service technology, and new business flows in diverse agile squads.
• Develop robust and scalable products for end-user merchants, B2B, and business-to-government solutions.
• Leverage innovative technologies to build next-generation Payment Services, Transaction Platforms, Real-Time Payments, and Buy Now Pay Later Technology.
• Support relationships with product owners to gather and refine requirements for product tasks.
• Begin to develop and design architectural solutions, considering integrations with other solutions.
• Provide relevant knowledge on the development of technical documentation and follow best practices.
• Play a role in the development and delivery of new features within a product.
