Microsoft Fabric & Power BI Data Engineer Consultant (Azure Data & Analytics Specialist)

Square One Resources is a Microsoft Partner and a fast-growing IT consultancy founded by experienced Data & Analytics professionals. They design and deliver modern Business Intelligence platforms for enterprise clients, specializing in end-to-end analytics ecosystems leveraging Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Azure cloud services.

• Minimum 2+ years of professional experience in BI, data engineering, or SQL-based development
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases (Azure SQL, SQL Server)
• Experience with or strong exposure to Microsoft Fabric or Azure-based BI environments, including Lakehouse / Warehouse architecture, Data pipelines (Fabric / ADF), Power BI semantic models
• Practical experience in DAX optimization and Power BI performance tuning
• Experience in designing and implementing ETL/ELT processes
• Experience in gathering requirements and working with business stakeholders

Nice to have:

• Experience with Azure Synapse and/or Azure Data Lake
• Exposure to AI-driven analytics or advanced analytics scenarios
• Previous experience in consulting or client-facing roles

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI
• Build and manage semantic models and analytical datasets (Lakehouse / Warehouse architecture)
• Develop interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI based on business requirements
• Design and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes (Fabric Data Pipelines / Azure Data Factory)
• Optimize Power BI models and DAX calculations for performance and scalability
• Support the development of modern BI and analytics platforms within the Microsoft ecosystem
• Gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Prepare technical documentation and solution design artifacts
• Collaborate closely with clients and stakeholders, ensuring long-term relationship building
