Senior Consultant - Agentic AI Engineer

Join a remote team working with one of the world's most renowned banking brands serving over 100 million customers. The project focuses on migrating and modernizing legacy data infrastructure from Ab Initio ETL to a cloud-native AWS Glue and PySpark environment, leveraging advanced generative AI patterns including Claude Code and agentic/multi-agent workflows.

• 8+ years in software engineering and AI/ML development.
• 5+ years hands-on experience with generative AI, LLMs, or Claude API.
• 4+ years leading AI/ML engineering teams or projects.
• Expert-level Python development skills including design patterns and testing.
• 3+ years experience with PySpark and distributed computing.
• Expertise in Claude API integration and LLM development.
• Deep knowledge of agentic AI patterns and orchestration.
• Experience with distributed systems and microservices.
• Understanding of error handling, resilience, and monitoring.
• Proven ability to mentor junior engineers.
• Strong communication, documentation, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Collaborative team player.

AI & Generative AI Development:

• Architect and implement advanced Generative AI solutions with Claude API integration and LLM orchestration.
• Design and deploy agentic AI patterns enabling autonomous multi-step AI reasoning.
• Drive full lifecycle development of complex AI/ML systems.

Software Engineering & Architecture:

• Write, test, and optimize production-grade Python code using advanced design patterns.
• Architect and maintain distributed systems and microservices for large-scale data processing with PySpark.
• Implement error handling, monitoring, and resilience protocols for high-availability AI systems.
• Serve as escalation point for complex technical debugging.

Leadership & Team Collaboration:

• Lead and mentor AI/ML engineering teams, setting quality standards.
• Oversee technical project execution ensuring timely delivery and quality.
• Produce technical documentation and communicate architectural decisions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally aligning engineering with business goals.
