Head of Data Engineering (Fully Remote)

The company has headquarters in London and an R&D center in Athens, focusing on digital transformation solutions for banks, financial services, telecoms, and utilities, with a strong emphasis on research and development in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

• BSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar
• Minimum of 5 years of significant experience in data engineering and platform architecture
• Demonstrated success in leading and developing engineering teams
• Strong hands-on expertise with ClickHouse (or similar tools), Apache Airflow, SQL, Python, and modern ETL/ELT practices
• Solid understanding of cloud-based data platforms and engineering best practices
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and organizational leadership skills

• Define and lead the data engineering strategy, roadmap, and architecture
• Build, manage, and develop a high-performing data engineering team
• Oversee the design and operation of scalable data pipelines and platform services
• Ensure high standards in data reliability, observability, governance, and performance
• Partner with engineering, analytics, and business teams to deliver trusted data capabilities
