System and Software Optimization Engineer – Fixed Term Contract

At the Data Center Group (DCG), Intel delivers Xeon-based solutions and custom x86-based products for general-purpose compute, web services, HPC, and AI-accelerated systems. The group focuses on business strategy, product management, ecosystem development, and maintaining x86 leadership in the data center segment.

• 4+ years of IT-related professional experience.
• 3+ years of experience in system configuration/administration.
• Experience with virtualization or container solutions.
• Experience with provisioning tools such as Openstack Ironic.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt.
• Intermediate command of English.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Experience with public clouds.
• Experience with Ansible or similar solutions.
• Experience in platform benchmarking or performance tuning.

• Collaborate with engineers in the US, India, and China, as well as Technical Marketing and Sales teams.
• Design, automate, execute, and analyze results of performance tests.
• Assess pre-production hardware using various tools and workloads.
• Gather reliable power, performance, and competitive data representative of customer use cases.
• Produce materials for tech press and Intel events to drive CPU sales.
• Enhance next-generation data center products through benchmarking and performance tuning.
