Lead Devops Engineer

The position is for a Lead Devops Engineer role at VIRTUSA, working remotely on a migration project for a client in the iLottery industry.

• Deep experience with OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) administration and cluster hardening.
• Proficiency in Proxmox including KVM/QEMU, Ceph storage engineering, and Proxmox APIs.
• Advanced skills in Terraform and Ansible for Infrastructure as Code on local hardware.
• Strong knowledge of software-defined networking (SDN), VLAN tagging, and load balancing in data center environments.
• Experience with AWS and Linux environments.

• Build a high-availability Proxmox environment using Ceph/ZFS for persistent storage and OVS/Linux Bridges for networking.
• Perform end-to-end installation and lifecycle management of OpenShift (UPI/IPI) on the Proxmox hypervisor.
• Implement IGT-compliant security standards using OpenShift Service Mesh (mTLS), RBAC, and the Compliance Operator.
• Configure CSI drivers to provide automated, dynamic volumes replacing AWS EBS and integrate with Keycloak/AD.
• Act as the technical anchor for the project.
