Senior/Lead IT Operations Engineer

Link Group is hiring for a Senior or Lead IT Operations Engineer to manage a modern, SaaS-first IT environment with a focus on reliability, security, and efficiency. The role involves working across IT operations, security, endpoint management, identity, SaaS tooling, automation, and service delivery in a security-focused and pragmatic team environment.

• 5+ years of experience in IT Operations, Systems Engineering, Workplace Engineering, or a similar role.
• Strong expertise in the Apple ecosystem; experience with Jamf is strongly preferred.
• Solid experience with IAM, SaaS environments, endpoint security, and access management.
• Practical knowledge of endpoint hardening, EDR, ZTNA, and secure access patterns.
• Experience managing complex incidents and supporting production-like IT environments.
• Ability to deliver IT projects independently or drive key workstreams.
• Experience with vendor management, license optimisation, and IT cost control.
• Hands-on scripting/automation experience with Python, Bash, or APIs.
• Strong ownership mindset, clear communication, and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.

For Lead-level candidates:

• Handle support requests and complex incidents, providing advanced technical support.
• Automate recurring workflows using scripting and APIs.
• Manage SaaS tools, integrations, licenses, vendors, and related costs.
• Lead or contribute to IT projects such as deployments, migrations, office moves, audits, and remediation activities.
• Support monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational visibility across the IT environment.
