IT System Engineer - Backup (Cohesity) k/m

The role is within the "Infrastructure Services" team focusing on management, support, and evolution of the Cohesity Backup platform, storage solutions, and archiving solutions in a 24/7 production environment.

• Minimum 7 years of experience in service engineering or service operations.
• At least 2 years' experience with Cohesity backup platform in large IT environments.
• Strong understanding of backup and restore testing aligned with DORA requirements.
• Solid hands-on knowledge of backup and restore processes including audit and compliance.
• At least 2 years' experience with storage platforms (S3, file solutions) in large IT environments.
• Good knowledge of Nutanix and/or VMware virtualization environments.
• Experience with hyperconverged and/or converged infrastructures.
• Passion for automation and DevOps.
• Knowledge and experience with Ansible, Tower, PowerShell, or Terraform.
• Experience with storage infrastructure management is a plus.
• English language proficiency at B2 level.

• Operate as a technical authority and domain owner for backup and data protection services.
• Install, configure, and maintain backup and storage technologies within the IT infrastructure.
• Develop solutions based on business and technical requirements.
• Develop architecture and design of projects.
• Build effective relationships with other IT experts.
• Implement and use monitoring tools for system availability and performance; perform audits and capacity planning.
• Collaborate with development teams and maintain documentation of systems and procedures.
• Implement and maintain security best practices including patch management and vulnerability assessments.
• Support automation of recurrent activities and propose harmonization of existing automation.
• Participate in day-to-day service support including incidents, alerts, and changes.
• Provide on-call support during out-of-business hours (24/7 watch duty).
• Take part in disaster recovery management for virtual infrastructure.
• Offer consulting services to OS teams, projects, and other customers.
