Rust Engineer

The role is for a Rust Engineer working on a performance-critical platform layer focusing on backend, systems, and infrastructure engineering. The team builds core backend and infrastructure components with real traffic and technical constraints, emphasizing reliability, low latency, memory safety, and clean architecture.

• Commercial or strong practical experience with Rust
• Good understanding of ownership, borrowing, and lifetimes
• Experience with async Rust, preferably Tokio
• Experience building backend services or infrastructure components
• Understanding of API design, concurrency, and reliability
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and tested code
• Interest in performance, observability, and system design
• Pragmatic engineering mindset
• Ability to discuss trade-offs rather than follow hype
• Strong engineering fundamentals and curiosity

• Build core services and APIs in Rust
• Design asynchronous systems using Tokio
• Work on event-driven architecture and message processing
• Improve system performance, latency, and reliability
• Design clean interfaces between services
• Work with gRPC, REST, and internal APIs
• Add observability with tracing, metrics, and logs
• Profile, benchmark, and optimize critical system parts
• Participate in architecture decisions
• Review code and shape engineering standards
• Help decide where Rust is appropriate in the system
