Senior Software Engineer - Distributed Infrastructure (Warsaw)

Mr Wolf Sp. z o.o. is hiring for their Distributed Infrastructure team in Warsaw, focusing on scalable backend systems and infrastructure at global scale.

• 5+ years of experience building backend or infrastructure systems
• Strong proficiency in at least one of: C++, Python, or Java
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, APIs, data storage, and system design at scale
• Experience delivering production systems in high-traffic, reliability-critical environments
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to navigate ambiguous problems
• Professional English (B2+)

Nice to have:

• Experience at companies with large-scale distributed infrastructure (e.g. Snowflake, Netflix, Atlassian, Amazon, Meta, Microsoft, Bolt, Samsung R&D, Akamai, or similar)
• Background in high-availability or mission-critical systems
• Experience working cross-functionally with non-engineering stakeholders
• Exposure to logistics, autonomous systems, or large-scale platform engineering
• Experience with embedded systems, image processing, or computer vision
• Strong engineering education in Computer Science, Electronics & Telecommunications, or related fields from technical universities

• Design and implement scalable backend systems and distributed infrastructure components
• Build and maintain production services in C++, Python, or Java
• Improve system reliability, performance, and operational excellence
• Collaborate with product and operational teams to translate complex business problems into robust technical solutions
• Contribute to architectural decisions and long-term technical strategy
• Mentor engineers and raise the engineering bar across the team
