AI Researcher / Engineer

ABRIAL is a California-based startup building a commercial operating system for airlines, focusing on price optimization (yield management). The team consists of 10 members with expertise in business, domain knowledge, and AI research & engineering. The company has live deployments with a large airline, has signed a second, and has a strong pipeline of potential clients. Funding is secured through Q1 2028 with institutional backing from Silicon Valley VCs.

• 2 to 8 years of experience, including hands-on post-docs and PhD.
• Strong foundation in Deep Learning and/or Reinforcement Learning.
• Experience applying AI to optimization problems in operations research.
• Comfortable with production model deployment and iteration.
• Extreme intellectual curiosity and passion for execution.
• Thrives in small teams with direct ownership and impact.

• Build, ship, and iterate fast on AI models brought to production.
• Apply deep learning and/or reinforcement learning to optimization problems in operations research.
• Collaborate within a small team to deliver impactful AI solutions for airline price optimization.
