Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Our client is a global provider of technology-enabled claims management and repair-network services for leading insurers and automotive partners. They operate a large, distributed technology function supporting business and clients across multiple regions worldwide.

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure.
• Strong Microsoft background, ideally progressing from on-premises infrastructure to cloud.
• Solid, hands-on Microsoft 365 / Modern Workplace experience.
• Working knowledge of Azure cloud infrastructure administration, governance, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Proficiency in PowerShell and Azure Automation for routine operational tasks.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure security hardening, patching, certificate and lifecycle management.
• Comfortable with ITIL-aligned processes (incident, problem, change, request fulfilment).
• Self-driven, organized, and effective working remotely with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Experience working within large, complex, distributed organizations across multiple regions and time zones.

Nice to have:

• Microsoft Purview (DLP, retention, eDiscovery) and Power Platform governance.
• Cloud networking awareness (VNets, NSGs, firewalls, private endpoints, routing).
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM).
• Cloud observability tooling (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Grafana) and SRE / reliability principles.
• Microsoft certifications (e.g. Azure Administrator Associate).

• Provide day-to-day operational support across Microsoft 365 and Azure, acting as an escalation point for incidents in an ITIL-aligned environment.
• Work across the full M365 / Modern Workplace stack including Exchange Online, Entra ID, Conditional Access, security, and compliance tooling.
• Support the Azure cloud infrastructure underpinning development and DevOps work streams.
• Take routine and assigned workplace and platform tasks off the existing team to free capacity.
• Contribute to problem management and root-cause analysis to deliver lasting fixes.
• Monitor capacity, performance, and availability of cloud services for proactive issue detection.
• Maintain security compliance across Microsoft cloud services, applying remediations and changes without business disruption.
• Support scheduled maintenance including patching, upgrades, certificate renewals, and lifecycle management of cloud resources.
