Data Engineer – Snowflake / dbt (Full Remote Contract)

Long-term project for a U.S.-based education services provider supporting online and campus-based post-secondary education programs. The client works with learning management systems, student enrollment platforms, and academic operations across web and mobile solutions.

• Proven hands-on experience with Snowflake, dbt, Coalesce.io, Airbyte, SQL Server / SSIS, and Azure Data Factory
• Strong understanding of Medallion Architecture, Dimensional Data Modeling, and ETL/ELT concepts and best practices
• Experience building production-grade data pipelines and analytics solutions
• Familiarity with GitHub and Jira-based development workflows
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Ability to work with at least 4 hours overlap with U.S. Eastern Time

Nice to have:

• Experience with Power BI
• Experience integrating Salesforce data
• Previous experience in higher education or ed-tech environments

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Snowflake, Coalesce.io, Airbyte, SQL Server / SSIS, and Azure Data Factory
• Build and optimize dimensional data models for analytics and reporting
• Implement and maintain Medallion Architecture in Snowflake (Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers)
• Develop reliable ETL/ELT processes and data transformation workflows
• Improve data modeling standards and identify areas for optimization
• Collaborate with engineering and business teams using Jira and GitHub
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and performance across analytics solutions
