Risk and Controls Senior Analyst – IRR Programme

• Familiarity with Stress Testing regulatory reporting processes, templates, and PRA/BoE rules.
• Experience with reporting policy rules, interpretations, and compliance.
• Strong process mapping, controls-focused business analysis, and documentation experience (10-12 years).
• Proven ability to document and verify process understanding and conduct risk and controls assessments.
• Ability to engage stakeholders, lead process discussions, and document gaps.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Demonstrable business analysis and business process skills.
• Clear and concise documentation and communication of concepts and designs.

Nice to have:

• Experience designing control test scripts, executing controls testing, and writing formal review reports.
• Working knowledge of controls and traceability tools.
• Previous experience on finance projects.
• Ability to work with demanding business stakeholders.

Business Analysis:

• Become familiar with the Risk Management Framework to ensure process and control assessments align with policies.
• Probe processes to identify risks from an end-to-end reporting perspective and determine required controls.
• Identify control gaps and assess control designs and operational effectiveness.
• Perform root cause analysis for issues and propose remediation actions.
• Work with business report owners to enhance controls and bring reporting templates to compliance.
• Document control processes and formalize related business process controls.
• Collaborate with other workstreams and process owners to track controls and compliance to resolution.
• Overlay risk and controls considerations over broader business operating models and systems.
• Deliver workshops and produce materials to support stakeholder understanding of risk and control.
• Produce reporting to measure and monitor progress.
• Negotiate with stakeholders to complete reviews amid competing priorities.

Training and Support:

• Support programme and project managers by identifying process gaps and proposing improvements.
• Facilitate conversations with business stakeholders, vendors, and service providers.
• Contribute to impact and work effort assessments.
• Provide training for new team members and set standards for project artefacts.
