Middleware Software Engineering Intern

At the Data Center Group (DCG) of Intel, the team delivers Xeon-based and custom x86-based solutions for general-purpose compute, web services, HPC, and AI-accelerated systems. The group focuses on business strategy, product management, ecosystem development, and maintaining x86 leadership in the data center segment.

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as C, C++.
• Familiarity with open-source software technologies and version control tools like Git.
• Knowledge of software development principles, data structures, and algorithms.
• Basic understanding of middleware concepts, APIs, or distributed systems.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English.

• Eagerness to learn and explore innovative software solutions.

• Develop and enhance middleware software components facilitating communication and data management between applications and hardware.
• Assist in the design and implementation of APIs, including protocol development and optimization for distributed systems.
• Conduct performance tuning and debugging to enhance middleware functionality.
• Contribute to open-source initiatives and leverage open-source technologies to improve Intel's middleware ecosystem.
• Engage in continuous learning, applying new knowledge and skills to enhance project outcomes.
