Software Engineer

We The Folks sp. z o.o. is building a WYSIWYG ad designer platform that handles drag-and-drop, layered animations, and live ad-platform integrations, serving roughly 200 million visitors a month.

• Experience with Laravel on PHP 8.3+.
• Proficiency in Vue 3 with TypeScript and Vite.
• Knowledge of MySQL database schema design and query optimization.
• Ability to design integrations with ad platforms and servers.
• Experience with writing tests using PHPUnit and Jest.
• Strong communication skills to work directly with product stakeholders.
• Mid-level experience in software engineering.

• Ship features across the stack including REST endpoints in Laravel, Vue 3 components, and MySQL schema and queries.
• Build the creative-editing surface with drag-and-drop, layered animations, and interactive elements that remain performant as complexity grows.
• Design and implement integrations with ad platforms and ad servers following IAB-style specs.
• Spend about half the time maintaining older features through bug fixes, performance improvements, and refactoring.
• Own performance and scalability of the editor and export pipeline, ensuring minimal regressions.
• Participate in code reviews and write maintainable, test-covered code using PHPUnit and Jest.
