Product Owner (Product Director) - Hardware

Vision Miner designs and builds high-temperature industrial 3D printers for aerospace, defense, research, and motorsport engineering teams. The company is opening an R&D and manufacturing hub in Kraków, Poland, and this role is a founding hire for that new team. The product owner will have full ownership of one flagship machine product, including its strategy, production line, team, and customers.

• Proven experience owning a complex hardware product from idea to launch or demonstrated high potential with shipped products and leadership experience.
• Deep expertise in product vision, backlog management, and market analytics.
• Experience in team management across engineering, manufacturing, and support.
• Knowledge of quality control systems and closed-loop feedback processes.
• Familiarity with business analysis, defining business requirements, UML, SDLC, and BPMN is a plus.
• Right to work in Poland; no visa sponsorship or relocation support provided.
• Fluent in English, Polish, or Ukrainian for communication.

• Own the flagship machine product end to end, including strategy, quality, roadmap, team, and customers.
• Build a closed-loop quality system to trace failures to root causes and engineer them out.
• Turn support cases into actionable signals and feed real issues into the product roadmap.
• Hire and lead the core team across engineering, manufacturing, and support.
• Own the product roadmap and ship the next-generation platform based on field evidence.
• Maintain a comprehensive market view to understand competition and product direction.
• Manage unit economics including product cost, margin, and pricing inputs.
• Drive go-to-market activities with sales, marketing, and support.
• Define and track key metrics such as quality, reliability, yield, and customer outcomes.
• Build processes and documentation for product operations.
• Oversee manufacturing and production line aspects including yield, reliability, throughput, and cost.
• Manage supply chain and suppliers, including sourcing and BOM.
• Carry problems to completion independently, making decisions and owning outcomes.
