Senior Golang Developer (with AWS)

YourITeams is seeking a Senior Golang Developer to join a high-impact analytics and engineering team working with modern technologies and architectures.

• Proven experience in backend development with Golang.
• Experience designing and implementing scalable APIs and distributed backend services.
• Hands-on experience with SQL databases, including PostgreSQL and Snowflake; ability to write and optimise complex queries, stored procedures and views.
• Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases, including MongoDB.
• Experience with Docker and containerised deployments.
• Experience building applications within a microservices architecture.
• Practical experience with AWS cloud services.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Desirable: experience with serverless or cloud-native architectures, Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Design, develop and maintain backend systems and services using Golang within a microservices architecture.
• Build and scale robust APIs and backend services running on AWS and Docker.
• Develop and optimize database schemas, queries, stored procedures and views for PostgreSQL and Snowflake.
• Work with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and optimise access patterns for performance and reliability.
• Contribute to frontend development tasks using React and TypeScript when required, ensuring smooth integration between front and back ends.
• Apply engineering best practices including clean code, automated testing, security considerations, scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with product, design and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in Agile processes and take ownership from design through to deployment.
• Support CI/CD workflows and contribute to Infrastructure as Code activities when needed.
