Software Engineer

AirHelp is a global travel tech company founded in 2013 that helps millions of passengers claim flight compensation and protects travelers through its membership program AirHelp+. The company has a global team of over 400 employees speaking 19 languages and advocates for fair air passenger rights through APRA.

• 3–5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• Strong skills in at least one core technology: Ruby/Rails, Golang, Python, Node, React, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Solid understanding of relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Experience across the entire software development lifecycle.
• Ownership mindset with proactive problem-solving.
• Strong testing discipline including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Experience in cloud-based environments, especially AWS.
• Clear communication and constructive feedback skills.

• Ship production-ready code daily across systems powering the traveler journey, including claims, legal automation, global payouts, flight-disruption protection, travel products, and partner APIs.
• Design and scale services for performance, uptime, and maintainability.
• Improve internal developer velocity by contributing to tools, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code.
• Influence architectural decisions and lead modernization or optimization initiatives.
• Mentor peers and drive engineering standards through code reviews, testing discipline, and documentation.
