Analyst – Monitoring & Surveillance

HSBC Technology Poland is hiring for a role supporting offshore surveillance teams that assist compliance officers globally in monitoring and ensuring compliance with financial market regulations and internal policies. The team focuses on detecting market abuse offenses such as Insider Dealing and Market Manipulation through electronic and audio surveillance monitoring tools.

• Fluency in English and French
• Educated to degree level
• Prior experience or genuine interest in financial services
• Knowledge of financial markets and financial market regulations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn new technologies
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
• Knowledge of electronic and audio surveillance monitoring tools

• Review audio and electronic communications alerts to detect potential market abuse, market manipulation, or breaches of HSBC policies
• Escalate potential regulatory and internal market misconduct breaches, gather evidence, and document findings clearly
• Eliminate alerts with no issues promptly
• Work with surveillance technology and review platforms, contribute to testing new surveillance tools
• Consistently meet process and queue turnaround times by achieving daily and weekly production commitments
• Collaborate with colleagues in Krakow and other compliance teams to improve global surveillance processes
• Participate in relationship management meetings and maintain close contact with onshore partners
• Continuously expand knowledge of financial markets, instruments, and market abuse risks to enhance control effectiveness
