Senior QA Engineer

Idego is a team of around 100 experienced problem solvers focused on Cloud, Data & AI, and Software development. The company is 100% remote-friendly and values autonomy and accountability.

• 6+ years of commercial QA experience, currently as a Senior QA Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for E2E test automation.
• Proven ability to test React frontends and REST APIs at a senior level.
• Comfortable reading and navigating Python/Django code independently.
• Solid understanding of REST API design and integration testing.
• Experience designing test strategies and plans including scope, coverage, and risk assessment.
• Experience with data validation and cross-system synchronization testing.
• Strong analytical mindset with independent root cause analysis skills.
• Ability to assess risk and prioritize under time constraints.
• Strong English communication skills (C1).
• Daily use of AI tools (Claude).

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with PostgreSQL for data validation.
• Experience testing on Azure or similar cloud infrastructure.
• Exposure to async processing pipelines (e.g., Celery) or document parsing workflows.

• Owning quality end-to-end as the last gate before production.
• Reviewing requirements and specifications early to identify ambiguities and edge cases.
• Designing test strategies and test plans from scratch, deciding on automation and manual testing.
• Testing UI (React) and backend/REST API (Python/Django) thoroughly before production releases.
• Building and maintaining E2E automated test suites using Playwright.
• Validating data correctness and synchronization across integrated systems.
• Conducting independent root cause analysis on defects and working with developers to resolve issues.
• Assessing testing risk and prioritizing coverage under time pressure.
• Collaborating with the client to ensure tasks are well-defined and acceptance criteria are clear.
• Contributing to the overall quality strategy as the project scales.
