Data Architect (Microsoft Fabric & Power BI)

Upvanta is offering a remote position for a Data Architect to work on a project focused on building modern, scalable data platforms and advanced analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.

• Proven experience as a Data Architect or in a similar senior data role
• Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI
• Experience with Lakehouse architecture, semantic modeling, DAX, and data pipelines/ETL patterns
• Solid understanding of data platform architecture and performance tuning
• Experience with Azure ecosystem
• Knowledge of data governance, data security, and best practices
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with business stakeholders
• Consulting or client-facing experience

• Design and implement scalable data architectures based on Microsoft Fabric
• Develop and optimize Power BI solutions, including semantic models and DAX measures
• Build and manage Lakehouse architectures and modern data platforms
• Design and implement data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
• Ensure end-to-end performance optimization across data and reporting layers
• Define and enforce data governance, security, and best practices
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
