Associate Product Manager – Distribution (Reporting layer)

TESCO Technology operates one of the largest distribution and fulfilment networks globally, focusing on store fulfilment to serve customers efficiently. The company is on a journey to modernize its applications and embrace automation in fulfilment operations, with technology central to its plans.

• Experience working with reports, dashboards, or analytical products, ideally within operational or enterprise environments
• Understanding of KPIs, metrics, and performance reporting for management or leadership audiences
• Familiarity with data concepts such as data sources, aggregation, transformations, and data quality
• Confidence in explaining reporting logic, limitations, and assumptions to stakeholders
• Working understanding of enterprise reporting and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, web-based reporting platforms)
• Domain expertise in store fulfillment is a plus
• Understanding of a typical Software Development Lifecycle
• Understanding of user stories, personas, and acceptance test criteria
• Understanding of Agile methodologies
• Understanding of technical debt and non-functional requirements like performance and security
• Ability to translate customer requirements into technical terms
• Ability to explain technical capabilities and limitations to business stakeholders
• Ability to break down complex problems into small, deliverable chunks of work
• Experience building, maintaining, and prioritizing a product backlog using tools such as Jira
• Experience documenting and explaining new requirements to engineers using tools such as Confluence, Jira, and Miro
• Experience working in cross-functional teams distributed across multiple countries

Key responsibilities:

• Own and deliver features within enterprise-wide reporting products supporting global distribution and fulfilment operations
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand reporting needs, KPIs, and decision use cases at site, country, and corporate levels
• Support the definition of standardized data models, metrics, and dashboards
• Understand the needs and pain points of customers and business stakeholders
• Prioritize roadmaps with multiple optimization criteria and resolve trade-offs with peers and senior leaders
• Partner with peers and senior stakeholders to set the future direction of the product as part of the wider business strategy
• Visualize and explain complexity to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Learn new product areas/domains quickly
• Maintain transparency and honesty about risks and uncertainties while adapting to lessons learned
• Demonstrate empathy and good listening skills to understand customer and stakeholder needs
• Apply knowledge of Agile methodologies, writing effective user stories and acceptance criteria
• Understand User Research and Design Thinking concepts
