Mid Linux & Cloud Systems Engineer

Centuria is a team of SysOps and DevOps engineers focused on maintaining the stability and security of IT infrastructure. They provide continuous operation of key IT services for clients such as Castorama, Medicover, Martes Sport, Indigo, and Elektroda. The team consists of about 20+ engineers working collaboratively and responsibly.

• Minimum 4 years of experience administering Linux systems (especially Debian and Ubuntu) in High Availability production environments.
• Ability to analyze technical solutions for risk, benefits, and cost-effectiveness.
• Experience designing and implementing client environments in Cloud and on-premises.
• Proficiency with observability ecosystems such as Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager/Karma.
• Experience with automation tools and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet) and CI/CD mechanisms (GitLab/GitHub).
• Solid knowledge of networking (VLAN, TCP/IP, routing, firewall) including design and troubleshooting.
• Application of hardening principles and security by design.
• Fluent in Polish and able to work with technical documentation and communicate in English.
• Nice to have: experience with Proxmox, Kubernetes platform maintenance and diagnostics, and hosting industry experience.
• Technical thinking, responsibility for delivered solutions, and ability to diagnose problems in complex production environments.

• Design, implement, and modernize diverse client environments in Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises.
• Analyze technical solutions considering risk, benefits, and ROI.
• Use observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager/Karma to monitor system behavior and preemptively resolve issues.
• Automate critical processes to build repeatable and failure-resistant infrastructure.
• Participate actively in identifying and resolving encountered problems.
• Maintain high standards of data and infrastructure security.
• Perform paid on-call duties planned in advance and executed as a team.
• Collaborate with SysOps and DevOps experts in a remote work environment.
• Design and maintain production, staging, and development environments with code review standards.
