Logistics Technician

Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) powers cloud services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and Microsoft Azure. CO+I manages a global portfolio of over 200 Data Centers in 32 countries, supporting more than 1 billion customers and 20 million businesses worldwide. The team focuses on environmental sustainability and optimization in data center design and operations.

• High School Diploma and 6 months experience or internship in inventory management, retail, warehouse management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including passing the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ years experience in warehouse/supply chain in IT environment, IT, or logistics.
• Experience operating heavy-load movement equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jacks, chassis lifts) for a large corporation or equivalent experience.

• Perform assigned tasks and escalate issues during high-volume or escalation situations under guidance.
• Coordinate with suppliers to initiate warranty claims and process failed vendor hardware devices, including packaging, shipment, and receipt of Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) devices following SLAs.
• Develop working knowledge of stock control and inventory management practices.
• Ensure accurate documentation of incoming and outgoing deliveries and records.
• Follow Microsoft contractual guidelines with suppliers and maintain customer focus.
• Perform cycle audits and data corrections to meet inventory controls.
• Reconcile and report inventory discrepancies.
• Ensure detailed physical inventory tracking and staging.
• Under supervision, destroy data bearing devices following SLAs and Microsoft policies.
• Comply with all security and data management policies.
• Embody Microsoft culture and values.
