Senior R&D Engineer (LLM)

SoftServe is a company engaged in research and development of advanced AI solutions, focusing on generative and agentic AI, deep learning, and applied research initiatives across multiple domains.

• Strong experience in generative or agentic AI and deep learning, including hands-on AI model development
• Proficiency in Python, C++, or Java/Kotlin for building AI solutions
• Practical experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and/or Vision-Language Models (VLMs) and their real-world applications
• Hands-on knowledge of frameworks and tools such as LangChain, LangGraph, RAG, or other agentic AI frameworks
• Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure for AI solution development and deployment
• Solid understanding of software development processes, collaboration models, and deployment practices
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with ability to translate complex topics into business value
• Effective communication skills in English (at least upper-intermediate level), including presenting and consulting
• Knowledge of prompting techniques (e.g., Chain-of-Thought, Tree-of-Thought) to enhance model performance (plus)
• Experience with backend frameworks such as FastAPI and building scalable APIs (plus)

• Design and develop agentic AI solutions using deep learning and modern AI techniques to solve complex business and research challenges
• Drive innovation by researching and applying emerging technologies, adapting solutions to market needs and evolving trends
• Prototype and develop advanced technical demos, translating research concepts into practical, scalable solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align technical direction with business and research goals
• Present solutions and research outcomes at conferences, meetups, and industry events
• Consult internal and external stakeholders on AI technologies, guiding solution design and strategic decisions
• Support business development activities, including presales, marketing assets, and technical presentations
• Contribute to partnerships with technology and academic organizations to expand research and innovation capabilities
