Solution Architect - TechOps Quality (Lab Execution & Connectivity)

Roche Digital Technology (RDT) is a global team at the heart of Roche, focused on shaping the digital future of healthcare by leveraging artificial intelligence, data, and scalable tech innovations. The role is part of the "Quality Unites Us" program, designing the digital backbone of global pharma quality and compliance systems to enable a paperless, predictive quality ecosystem.

• Demonstrated experience designing business-driven, standards-based, future-ready solutions in complex or multiple solution/product contexts.
• Experience maintaining vision, roadmap, and current landscape for multiple solutions.
• Proven track record in architecture practices development and mentoring.
• In-depth and expert-level knowledge in multiple technology areas.
• Proficiency in creating Conceptual & Logical Data Models, Taxonomies, Ontologies, and Integration pathways.
• Ability to define and drive reference architectures, patterns, NFRs, and fitness functions.
• Strong capability to assess external technology trends and conduct vendor assessments.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
• Proactive mindset to identify opportunities to enhance value, improve solutions, manage technical debt, and lead innovation.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in German is an advantage.

Scope/(Content Leadership):

• Design solutions meeting product requirements, business priorities, and enterprise standards.
• Manage Non-Functional Requirements (NFR) and fitness functions.
• Document and evolve architecture throughout the product lifecycle.
• Align with architecture community for governance.

Accountability/Problem Solving:

• Lead others to solve complex problems using sophisticated analytical thought.
• Maintain vision, roadmap, and current landscape for multiple solutions.
• Assess impacts and dependencies of initiatives on capabilities, risk, and application landscape.
• Create Conceptual & Logical Data Models, Taxonomies, Ontologies, and Integration pathways.
• Define and drive reference architectures, patterns, NFRs, and fitness functions.
• Record and publish Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).
• Drive external technology trends and conduct vendor assessments.

Stakeholder Management:

• Communicate difficult concepts clearly.
• Negotiate to influence adoption of different perspectives.
• Drive information sharing across the product.

• Develop and maintain product technology roadmap.
• Provide technical oversight and guidance to product teams.
