Junior Software Engineer (Java / Kotlin) - Listings

The role is part of the listing team responsible for the main search page and product listings, which are crucial stages of the shopping journey at Allegro. The team handles billions of requests and processes large data volumes in real-time, focusing on data-driven development and experimentation.

• Proficiency in Java and Kotlin.
• Ability to use AI tools daily.
• English and Polish language skills at least at B2 level.
• Proactive and positive attitude with a willingness to collaborate.
• Desire to constantly develop and update knowledge.
• Ability to look for effective solutions to user requirements.
• Willingness to accept comments and share knowledge during code reviews.

• Code in Kotlin or Java.
• Deploy features to production and observe their effects.
• Optimize products based on user behavior and data.
• Design, implement, and analyze A/B tests on large user samples.
• Participate in code reviews, share knowledge, and accept feedback.
• Take responsibility and ownership for developed features.
• Propose and implement solutions to engineering challenges.
• Identify and report technical debt to maintain code and architecture quality.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively using facts and data.
• Engage in self-development and pursue growth within defined professional areas.
• Occasionally conduct off-hours duty on team products (optional).
• Learn and apply new technologies effectively.
• Meet quality standards including code readability, testing, architecture, stability, and monitoring.
