Junior Test Automation Engineer

Grupa Allegro Sp. z o. o. is a company with a team based in Poznań, operating a large-scale platform with over 1000 microservices and an open-source data bus (Hermes) handling 300K+ requests per second and tens of petabytes of data. The company emphasizes modern technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Consul, GitHub, and AI tools to support development and automation.

• Basic practical experience with modern automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, or Appium.
• Understanding of manual testing as a method to understand the product before automation.
• Knowledge of how web or mobile interfaces are built, including familiarity with DOM, CSS selectors, or mobile view hierarchies.
• Willingness to write quality code, openness to feedback, and knowledge sharing.
• Keen eye for detail and a full-product perspective beyond single features.
• Eagerness to continuously develop skills and update knowledge in a specialized environment.
• Proficiency in English and Polish at B2 level or higher.

• Supporting the design and implementation of automated tests within the agreed technology stack, while executing and maintaining them.
• Creating and performing manual tests and collaborating with the team to define test criteria during new feature development.
• Actively participating in the entire product development cycle to identify edge cases, mutually exclusive requirements, or logic gaps.
• Reporting identified bugs and supporting backlog prioritization to ensure platform stability.
• Maintaining the appropriate level of Quality Assurance within the team, particularly in SDLC processes.
• Collaborating with Software Engineers regarding test status reporting and with other Test Engineers within the domain.
• Writing clean, easy-to-read, and easy-to-debug code while contributing to the definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD).
• Acting as a "customer ambassador" by continuously evaluating the team’s work from the end-user's perspective.
