Senior DBA Postgres

• 10+ years of hands-on PostgreSQL administration and replication experience (logical and physical).
• Deep expertise in WAL archiving, streaming replication, and logical decoding.
• Strong skills in performance tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimization.
• Proficiency in automation with Ansible, Jenkins, and scripting languages.
• Solid understanding of security practices, auditing, and access control.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud (Cloud SQL, GKE, VPC) and exposure to AWS or Azure.
• Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Nice to have:

• PostgreSQL certification.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to other databases such as MySQL, Oracle, or NoSQL.

• Design, implement, and manage logical and physical replication for PostgreSQL to ensure high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR).
• Optimize database performance by tuning configurations and queries.
• Automate database deployment and management tasks using Ansible, Jenkins, and scripting languages.
• Develop and maintain robust backup, restore, and failover strategies, including work with EDB Failover Manager (EFM).
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to ensure scalability and reliability of databases.
• Monitor database health, implement security best practices, and troubleshoot replication issues.
• Work with Google Cloud services (Cloud SQL, IAM, GKE, networking, monitoring) and other cloud platforms.
