Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist

DCG is a recruitment company managing numerous recruitment projects for its partners, currently expanding and seeking a Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist for hybrid work in Gdańsk, Warszawa, or Łódź.

• Strong experience with Windows Server administration, upgrades, and migrations
• Strong experience with SQL Server administration, database migrations, clustering, and performance tuning
• Proven experience in application and infrastructure lifecycle management
• Hands-on experience delivering large-scale infrastructure migration projects, including operating system and database upgrades
• Experience providing production support in complex enterprise environments
• Strong knowledge of incident, problem, and change management processes
• Experience supporting banking or financial applications
• Experience with security and compliance activities, including vulnerability remediation, patch management, and audit support
• Experience working in integration-heavy environments, including payment, reporting, and regulatory systems
• Strong documentation skills, including preparation of HLD, SDD, and operational documentation
• Experience coordinating testing, release, and deployment activities
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Very good command of English, both spoken and written

Nice to have:

• Experience with Oracle, Java, Python, Power BI, or reporting solutions
• Experience with Identity & Access Management solutions, including IIQ/SailPoint and SSO onboarding
• Familiarity with banking systems, payment platforms, KYC solutions, and compliance applications
• Experience supporting SharePoint migrations, file transfer platforms, and operational task automation
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements, audit frameworks, disaster recovery, high-availability, and resilience concepts
• Experience working within distributed delivery models and international teams
• Experience operating in environments with high operational workload and multiple competing priorities

• Lead and support infrastructure migration and upgrade initiatives across enterprise environments
• Coordinate migration of SQL Server databases from SQL Server 2016 to SQL Server 2022 environments and clusters
• Support upgrade, migration, and decommissioning of Windows Server environments
• Execute and support operating system and application upgrade activities
• Coordinate vendor-led application upgrades and releases
• Collaborate with external vendors on planning, scheduling, testing, issue resolution, and deployment activities
• Ensure alignment between vendor delivery plans and internal project timelines
• Support validation, testing, and rollout of vendor-delivered solutions
• Manage application lifecycle activities, including incident management, vulnerability remediation, patch management, monitoring, and operational support
• Maintain operational stability across business-critical applications and infrastructure components
• Support application modernization, replacement, and transformation initiatives
• Participate in infrastructure and application migration projects, including SharePoint migrations, banking and compliance system migrations, and integration-related activities
• Support security and compliance initiatives, including IIQ/SSO onboarding, service account remediation, threat modelling, and security baseline implementation
• Coordinate and track migration, upgrade, release, and deployment activities
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, HLD and SDD documentation, test plans, rollout plans, and verification materials
• Support UAT preparation, release management, and production deployments
• Contribute to backlog reduction and continuous improvement of delivery processes
• Support day-to-day operational activities and incident resolution
