Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Kotlin & TS)

Vecten is an AI-native data and technology partner for private capital and healthcare, founded in 2010 and headquartered in Warsaw. They work with leading PE firms, VC funds, and healthcare organizations to build proprietary data infrastructure, deploy AI solutions, and drive AI-native transformation. Their clients manage over $210B in assets, and they have restructured their own company around AI tools, policies, roles, and delivery models.

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with senior or staff-level work.
• Strong backend engineering experience on the JVM (Kotlin preferred, Java/Scala acceptable).
• Solid TypeScript frontend skills with React, Angular, or similar.
• Solid cloud infrastructure fundamentals including networking, IAM, compute, and managed services.
• Architecture experience with ability to design non-trivial systems and defend trade-offs.
• English fluency for daily communication with business users and engineers.

Strongly preferred:

• AI-native fluency using Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent agents.
• Deep AWS production experience including VPCs, IAM, RDS, Lambda/ECS.
• IaC experience with Pulumi, Terraform, or CDK.
• Background in regulated or transactional domains such as fintech, payments, healthcare, insurance, ERP, or billing systems.
• Comfort working in greenfield ambiguity as an early engineer on a platform.

Nice to have:

• Direct retirement/pensions/401(k) experience.
• DevOps experience including CI/CD pipelines, observability, and on-call rotations.
• Python data-stack background relevant for analytics and reporting.

• Designing and building the core platform including event processing, plan configuration, eligibility rules, and supporting services.
• Owning vertical slices end-to-end including AWS infrastructure, Kotlin backend, and TypeScript frontend.
• Acting as a thought partner on architecture decisions such as IaC choice, service boundaries, and data model.
• Interviewing internal subject-matter experts to translate domain knowledge into working software.
• Setting the bar for AI-native engineering practices including use of Claude Code, Cursor, and agents.
