Java Developer

Scalo is a company involved in projects related to e-commerce and logistics, focusing on backend systems supporting Parcel Fulfillment & Tracking processes.

• Minimum 4 years of commercial experience as a Java Developer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Java (17+) and Spring Boot.
• Experience working with microservice architecture.
• Experience with databases such as OracleDB and PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of CI/CD processes and experience with Jenkins pipelines.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with cloud solutions (AWS) and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform).
• Ability to use monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus).
• Ability to write clean, testable, and maintainable code following best practices.
• Experience in software testing including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Proactive, collaborative, and focused on continuous development.
• Desire to have a real impact on the development of key logistics systems (Outbound Delivery).

• Participate in the development and maintenance of backend systems supporting logistics processes (Parcel Fulfillment & Tracking).
• Design and develop integrations between the main platform and order fulfillment centers.
• Implement functionalities related to shipment tracking and data processing.
• Actively participate in the entire product lifecycle from discovery to deployment and maintenance.
• Co-create system architecture and make technological decisions.
• Develop and optimize existing services and the e-commerce platform.
• Ensure high code quality through code reviews and testing (unit and integration tests).
• Monitor, diagnose, and resolve production issues.
• Collaborate within a small, agile team using Scrum/Kanban methodologies.
• Continuously deliver improvements and new functionalities using Continuous Delivery.
• Maintain performance, scalability, and reliability of developed solutions.
