Junior Software Engineer (Java / Kotlin) - Allegro Ads

Grupa Allegro Sp. z o. o. is a company based in Poznań, Poland, working on Allegro Ads, a product within the Allegro ecosystem. The team collaborates closely with the Machine Learning team to create a personalized advertising system for customers, handling high-availability and high-performance engineering at massive scale.

• Proficiency in Kotlin or Java
• Willingness to master Kotlin through participation in a greenfield project

• English language proficiency at least at B2 level

• Design, build, and optimize systems handling thousands of requests per minute
• Work with Kotlin, Java, Spring, Kafka, and Kubernetes in a cloud-native environment
• Own microservices end-to-end, from design to deployment
• Tackle complex backend challenges including distributed systems, data streaming, and algorithmic optimization
• Build infrastructure for serving ML models using BigQuery and Apache Spark for offline data processing
• Integrate ML components with microservices architecture to power personalized advertising
• Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and team retrospectives
• Incorporate AI coding assistants into daily work to maximize efficiency
