QA Engineer (IJ Platform / Remote Development)

The Remote Development team focuses on redirecting IDE-heavy processing to powerful remote servers, enabling developers to work from anywhere with improved security, stability, and reliability.

Required skills:

• Extensive hands-on QA experience.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Ability to read and understand Java or Kotlin code.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams.
• Ability to grasp new concepts quickly and work independently and in a team.
• Strong prioritization skills and workload management based on team goals.

Nice to have:

• Experience testing developer tools, IDEs, and desktop applications.
• Programming skills in Kotlin or Java to extend and maintain UI tests.
• Experience with Linux environments and understanding of operating system fundamentals.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals and their impact on distributed systems.

Quality assurance:

• Perform functional, exploratory, regression, and acceptance testing.
• Ensure product stability and release readiness.
• Investigate, document, and report defects, ensuring prioritization and resolution.
• Expand and update manual test case scenarios.
• Take ownership of complex testing areas and drive quality improvements.
• Monitor automated test execution results and troubleshoot failures.
• Maintain and extend automated UI tests using the established framework.

Team collaboration:

• Work closely with developers and product stakeholders to clarify requirements and identify risks.
• Update the internal knowledge base and share expertise.
• Cooperate with the support team to reproduce user-reported issues.
