Senior Database Engineer

• Solid experience with large (100TB+), highly available, high-transaction databases, with MySQL as a must-have; Oracle or MSSQL is a plus.
• Experience with Cloud databases, either AWS or Azure.
• Deep knowledge of database fundamentals, architectures, and SQL code performance review and optimization.
• Familiarity with standard edition tools for performance measurement, analysis, and optimization.
• Experience developing tools and methodologies for isolating performance issues.
• Ability to coordinate, plan, and manage complex technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex subjects to diverse audiences.
• Experience with ML/LLM/AI concepts and their impact on database performance and data architecture in high-transaction environments.
• Must be located within commuting distance to Kraków office for hybrid work (at least two days per week in office).

• Explain complex database performance findings to various technical audiences.
• Test Proof-of-Concept (PoC) products to meet ambitious goals.
• Ensure overall software quality, scalability, and performance.
• Collaborate closely with the cloud solutions team on MVP and launch.
• Consult and educate internal development teams on performance best practices.

Candidates must be located within commuting distance to the Kraków office as the role requires hybrid work with at least two days per week onsite.
