• Strong Java and Spring Boot expertise including clean API design, domain modeling, and architectural trade-offs.
• Solid understanding of software design principles such as object-oriented programming, SOLID, clean architecture, and separation of concerns.
• Working proficiency in React and TypeScript for frontend tasks.
• Proven experience integrating AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) into development workflow, including prompt design and output validation.
• Professional approach to testing including unit, integration, and API tests with ownership of test pyramid decisions.
• Experience with PostgreSQL schema design, query optimization, and migrations in production.
• AWS experience deploying and operating production workloads (ECS/EKS, RDS, Lambda, S3).
• Ability to work in ambiguous, greenfield settings and define scope with stakeholders.
• Nice-to-have: Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), healthcare or regulated environment experience, security hardening practices, observability tooling (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana), and CI/CD pipeline design (GitHub Actions or similar).

• Own features end-to-end: design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain across the full stack with approximately 80% backend and 20% frontend work.
• Make foundational architectural decisions on a greenfield codebase including data models, API contracts, service boundaries, and test strategy.
• Build and maintain the Java/Spring Boot backend powering the product's core logic.
• Contribute to the React/TypeScript frontend when needed.
• Integrate AI coding tools into daily workflow and assist the team in adopting these practices.
• Collaborate directly with product stakeholders to refine requirements in a fast-moving, low-ceremony environment.
