Senior Data Engineer

• Very good knowledge of Python.
• Commercial experience with Google Cloud Platform, especially GCE, GKE, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Functions.
• Experience with Terraform.
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures.
• Experience building and developing data pipelines.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
• Experience in testing, particularly Pytest and integration tests.
• Good knowledge of SQL.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Cloud Build or GitHub Actions.
• Willingness to participate in a rotational on-call model.
• Very good communication skills and ability to collaborate in a matrix organization.
• English language proficiency at minimum B2+ level.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Go and/or Java.
• Experience with Databricks.
• Knowledge of Dataform, especially for BigQuery transformations.
• Experience with Google App Engine.

• Design and develop high-performance data pipelines using Python.
• Build real-time data processing solutions.
• Work with infrastructure as code using Terraform in a modular approach.
• Create and develop testing strategies, including Pytest and integration tests.
• Monitor systems and services using Cloud Logging, Grafana, and Prometheus.
• Manage data access and security in GCP IAM.
• Maintain and support the platform as part of BAU activities.
• Participate in a rotational support model including daily support and on-call duty for critical incidents.
• Develop tools and reusable components used by the team.
• Collaborate with product teams and participate in Agile processes: daily, planning, retrospectives.
