The role is within a financial institution's IT department, focusing on server support and infrastructure management. The candidate will work in Warsaw as part of a team including internal employees and external consultants, collaborating closely with the Server Engineering team and an external support company based in India.

Wymagania

  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing hundreds of RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Unix servers in enterprise environments.
  • Practical experience with management and deployment tools, specifically RedHat Satellite.
  • Strong understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies and compute operations.
  • Ability to design, build, implement, and maintain automation using tools like Ansible and Terraform.
  • Experience optimizing GCP cloud spend and safeguarding compliance.
  • Experience identifying and remediating inconsistent configurations across hybrid-cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with modern management and monitoring tools for RedHat/Unix and GCP infrastructure.
  • Skilled in daily server management, incident response, and technical consultation.
  • Skilled in IT governance, including SOPs, compliance, patching, upgrading, and monitoring.
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written) at least B2 level.
  • Previous experience in financial institutions or highly regulated environments is a strong asset.

Nice to have:

  • Experience managing other Unix OSes: Solaris, AIX, IBMi.
  • Practical experience with VMware environment VM support.

Obowiązki

  • Collaborate closely with the Server Engineering team on governance, security, architecture, and design.
  • Run projects and define the future of infrastructure.
  • Work with an external company handling daily support operations.
  • Focus on reducing the number and duration of major incidents.
  • Optimize resources including personnel, servers, and licenses.
  • Improve support for IT operation and development teams.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot RedHat/Unix server issues.
  • Respond to major incidents and quickly restore services.
  • Deliver technical consultation to other units.
  • Plan and control IT operations including defining and ensuring standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Engineering and Cybersecurity policies.
  • Perform patching, upgrading, hardening, and monitoring of servers.
