• Minimum 5 years of practical software engineering experience, including significant work on production AI systems or data-intensive solutions in complex project environments.
• Strong practical knowledge of LLM, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), tool integrations, AI agents, and their trade-offs, limitations, and failure modes.
• Experience designing and maintaining comprehensive AI systems including APIs, application services, data pipelines, search layers, evaluation processes, and cloud infrastructure.
• Ability to define measurable quality criteria and evaluation methods for AI systems considering customer value, reliability, latency, costs, and maintainability.
• Practical experience with AI-assisted engineering, Spec-Driven Development, and modern programming tools; ability to enhance team workflows by combining human judgment with automation and AI agent support.
• Strong system architecture skills and ability to design reusable patterns and shared functionalities while collaborating effectively with product teams responsible for local implementation decisions.
• Documented experience in cross-functional collaboration from exploration and prototyping to production deployment and continuous improvement in agile environments.
• Ability to support and influence other engineers, raise technical standards through collaboration, and bring clarity in ambiguous and rapidly changing AI environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to translate technical complexity into concrete decisions and actions for product, technical, and business teams.
• Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, artificial intelligence, or related technical field; equivalent experience considered for exceptional candidates.

• Creating and continuously developing shared AI competencies, reusable services, and engineering accelerators for multiple software products in the construction industry.
• Designing and deploying production AI systems including large language models (LLM), retrieval pipelines, tool integrations, orchestration layers, and AI agent workflows.
• Producing technical artifacts such as specifications, evaluation methods, interface definitions, and workflow contracts to improve solution clarity, speed, and quality.
• Defining and applying evaluation-driven development cycles for AI systems covering quality, reliability, latency, costs, grounding quality, and other performance metrics.
• Collaborating with product teams to identify cross-product opportunities, support integration of shared functionalities, and recommend best practices without owning product architecture.
• Co-creating AI-native practices using Spec-Driven Development, AI-assisted programming processes, automated tests, and intelligent engineering agents.
• Applying standards and safeguards for reliability, observability, corporate governance, security, and responsible AI use in solutions delivered by the central team.
• Rapid prototyping and validating new technical approaches, transforming emerging AI capabilities into scalable components with clear business value.
• Supporting and mentoring other engineers through technical collaboration, code reviews, and knowledge sharing in modern AI engineering and experimentation.
• Working closely with AI PM/PO, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to align implementation decisions with customer value, feasibility, and measurable outcomes.
