Senior Platform Engineer (AI & AWS)

Northmill is a Swedish bank founded in 2006 with its main office in Stockholm and an Engineering Center in Katowice, Poland. The company serves 600,000 end users and 2,500 merchants, employing around 310 people across four countries, including approximately 80 experienced engineers in the Engineering Center. • 5+ years of commercial software engineering experience.
• Solid experience with Amazon Bedrock and Amazon Quick AI.
• Proficiency in Python and related tools.
• Experience with prompt engineering and prompt testing (structured outputs).
• Experience designing harnesses for coding assistants and understanding modern agentic patterns.
• Experience with cost optimization of GenAI solutions.
• Experience using Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar agent frameworks.
• Understanding of data security and risks associated with agentic workflows.
• Willingness and interest to collaborate and work in a team.

Nice to have:

• Experience with other AI-oriented AWS services like Amazon Sagemaker or AWS Transcribe.
• Experience with the AWS platform beyond AI services.
• Experience working with Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers.
• Experience scripting with PowerShell 6+.
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices and modern delivery standards.
• Exposure to microservice infrastructure.
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code and platform engineering practices.
• Exposure to Agile development methodologies.

• Design and develop AI solutions using Amazon Bedrock and Amazon Quick AI.
• Partner with development teams to prepare scalable, secure, and deterministic agentic development solutions.
• Drive continuous evolution of the AI platform, adopting best practices for GenAI in SDLC and business process automation.
• Participate in evaluation, cost optimization, and governance of tooling, LLMs, and design patterns for an agentic approach.
• Work with AWS, GitHub Actions, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Google Gemini, Jira, Confluence, and Git.
• Use modern AI development tools.
