Senior Go Engineer (Architecture & Distributed Systems)

Upvanta sp. z o.o. is the employer offering this position, located in Warsaw, Poland.

Must have:

• Minimum 5 years of commercial IT experience
• At least 3 years of experience with Golang
• Strong knowledge of software architecture and design patterns
• Experience building scalable backend systems and APIs
• Practical knowledge of microservices architecture
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
• Strong understanding of concurrency, multithreading, and performance optimization
• Experience with Docker and containerized environments
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Experience working with CI/CD
• Very good communication skills and English language proficiency (minimum B2+)

Nice to have:

• Kubernetes
• Event-driven architecture
• Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS
• Experience in FinTech, MedTech, IoT, or SaaS
• Knowledge of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)
• Experience in software house or consulting environment
• Experience in mentoring or technical leadership roles

• Design and develop scalable backend services in Golang
• Create and maintain REST and GraphQL APIs
• Design cloud-native architecture and distributed systems
• Participate in technical workshops and architectural discussions
• Collaborate with international clients and stakeholders
• Improve system performance, scalability, and reliability
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers
• Participate in CI/CD and DevOps activities
• Support engineering culture through knowledge sharing and technical leadership
