Unix Server Support Specialist

This role is within the banking industry, focusing on IT infrastructure and operations. The position is based in Warsaw with a hybrid work model, requiring presence in the office three times per week. The team collaborates on server infrastructure improvements, automation, and incident management.

• Minimum 5 years of experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux and Unix servers.
• Hands-on experience with RedHat Satellite for server management.
• Strong understanding of Google Cloud Platform technologies.
• Proficient in automation tools like Ansible and Terraform.
• Experience with configuration management in hybrid-cloud environments.
• Skilled in daily server management and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of IT governance and operations control.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English (minimum B2 level).
• Experience in a financial or highly regulated environment is advantageous.

Nice to have:

• Experience managing Solaris, AIX, or IBMi Unix OS.
• Practical experience with VMware VM support.

• Manage and optimize server support operations.
• Collaborate with Server Engineering on governance, security, and design.
• Work with external support teams for daily operations.
• Reduce major incidents through effective resource management.
• Improve IT operations support across multiple teams.
