Junior Software Engineer (Java / Kotlin)

Allegro is the most popular shopping platform in Poland and the largest e-commerce platform of European origin. It operates a marketplace model with over 135,000 merchants and offers over 250 million offers across key categories. The platform reaches 22 million customers monthly, offers fast and free deliveries under Allegro Smart!, and includes modern financial services and a wide pickup network.

• Proficient knowledge of JavaScript (preferably Node.js or similar environment) with at least 5 years of experience.
• Experience working with Kubernetes and Docker in production environments.
• Knowledge of experiment-driven programming and A/B testing principles.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model (4 days in office, 1 day remote) with flexible start times between 7:00 and 10:00.
• Communicative English language skills (B2/C1).

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Java.
• Knowledge of Kotlin.
• Experience with Machine Learning (ML).

• Implementing features to production and optimizing the product based on user behavior.
• Creating solutions handling billions of queries and processing large volumes of real-time data.
• Designing, implementing, and analyzing A/B tests on a large user sample.
• Monitoring the impact of code optimizations on customer behavior and business metrics.
